Matt Banks
An active member of Beth Israel Center and the founder of the Madison Center for Jewish Meditation, Dr. Banks is a Professor of Anesthesiology and affiliate Professor of Neuroscience at UW-Madison whose research focuses on the neural basis of changes in consciousness associated with anesthesia, sleep, psychedelics and acute disorders such as delirium.
Richie Davidson
The William James and Vilas Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry and founder and director of the Center for Healthy Minds at the UW-Madison, Dr. Davidson’s is broadly focused on the neural bases of emotion and emotional style as well as methods to promote human flourishing, including meditation and related contemplative practices.
Hava Tirosh-Samuelson
The director of Jewish Studies at Arizona State University, Dr. Tirosh-Samuelson is especially committed to understanding the complimentary relationship between science and religion from an historical perspective. She writes on Jewish intellectual history, Judaism and ecology, bioethics, and religion and science.
