High Holy Days: Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur

High Holy Day services will be held in person.

Tickets are required to attend in person.

For those unable to attend in person, services will also be live streamed.

Need a ticket?

Members - Tickets for your household and dependents are included with your membership. Tell us how many you need when you make your annual gift or contact the office. Members may purchase guest tickets for $75 each.

Prospective members - We are pleased to offer free tickets to anyone considering joining Beth Israel Center and who will be attending our High Holy Day services in person for the first time. Call the office (608-256-7763) or email elissa@bethisraelcenter.org.

Reminders

Youth Services & Childcare. For planning purposes, to provide the safest environment possible, registration is required for in-person children’s programming on both days of Rosh Hashanah and on Yom Kippur. Click here to register.

Food for Thought School Pantries Fund Drive: For the 8th consecutive year, we are collecting funds to support the in-school food pantries established by BIC member Lea Aschkenase in honor of her mother, Thea Aschkenase (z"l) and Thea's commitment to ensuring that the only hunger students should know is hunger for learning. To make an online donation, click here. You can also bring cash or a check (made out to Second Harvest, with School Pantries on the memo line) with you when you come to services on Sunday evening, Sept. 24.

      • High Holiday Youth Programming 10:30am-1:00pm

      • Preschool Family service 11am-12pm

    • Tashlich at Vilas Park - Day 2 (Sept. 17) only: 4:30pm

  • Yom Kippur Schedule

    • Sunday, Sept. 24

      • Services begin at 6:15 with the short Mincha service, followed by Kol Nidrei

    • Monday, Sept. 25, 9am - 7:45pm (with a mid-afternoon break)

      • Yom Kippur morning services include Yizkor

      • High Holiday Youth Programming 10:30am-12:30pm

      • Preschool Family service 11am-12pm

      • Guided Meditation 3:30-4:15pm

      • Mincha at 4:45pm

      • Ne’ilah

      • Final Shofar at 7:45pm
